Welcome & Announcements:

**We welcomed a guest of TJ’s, Sandy Paulton, and David, who found us doing a google search!

**Board elections will be help next month.  Anyone wishing to run for a position should let Cyndi Haworth know.

**We are planning to select pages for a calendar we hope to print as a means of generating some funds for the guild.  We need to figure out the dimensions before we give the assignment.

**St. Michael’s Catholic church is taking a bus trip to Collegeville, MN August 2-7, 2026 to see the St. John’s Bible in person.  The cost is $1300.00 with a $400.00 deposit due by Jan 16 if anyone would like to join them.  Tom and his wife have signed up.

**A list of monthly meeting topics was available for us to take home.

**Nancy Anderson has agreed to chair the birthday/card committee.  She passed around a monthly sign-up sheet for us to send cards to guild members.

Show & Share:

**TJ brought a pointed pen piece her friend from Germany sent.

**Tom had 5 pages of his Foundational Proverb, and 4 older models of oblique nib holders.

**Anne finished a little booklet she started in Suzanne Moore’s class.

**Sherry had a bamboo-themed card, a couple of marbled cards, and a framed piece-Secrets of love.

**Jacque brought a sketch and lettered piece-Nowhere Man.

**Nancy brought a piece lettered in Italic with a gouache painting background.

**Lynn brought a beautiful copy of the Gift of the Magi lettered by Michael Neugebauer.

Evening Presentation:

**The design of the evening was to give everyone a chance to try different papers, nibs, and inks as we enter into a yearlong study in Pointed Pen.  TJ’s table gave everyone a chance to try out different point pen nibs and holders to see which ones they liked best. Sherry’s table tried different papers to demonstrate the importance of a smooth surface, and Candy had a variety of inks and gouaches for folks to try.
