**Kristi Lyon’s introduced her husband Mike
**Cecelia introduced her neighbor and former Scribes member Jody Reiner
**This year’s Christmas Party will be at TJ Klajnbart’s. Candy will let us know what to bring for food in addition to the 30 cards for our exchange.
**The Board met last week and Candy read off this coming year’s agenda for our monthly meetings.
**We have scheduled a Marbling Workshop at TJ’s with Jim Whitford on Saturday, June 10.
**We’d like to have a card making day with Kimmi. TBA
**Carole brought books from Sally Liverman and will bring her old Letter Art’s Review and Bound and Lettered to the Christmas Party for the taking.
**A donation of $600 was given to the guild after Carole Whitaker’s death.
**Leslie highlighted a Menu Museum featured in the latest Letter Art’s Review.
**Jim had more samples of his marbled paper for show and sell.

**Kritsti showed us her latest piece using Bister inks on Stonehenge paper.
**Cecelia brought in several pieces from Mike Gold’s on-line class using jelly prints and Tec inks.
**Dawn brought more Copperplate examples she’s collected over the years. She also started to letter a double spread in Randy’s Handmade book and illustrated it with water colored leaves.
**Christie showed us her design thoughts for this year’s Christmas card.
**Lonnie bought a pen and ink while on her trip to Versailles.
**Leslie received a student grade marbling kit and brought samples of what she created to line envelopes. She used the colors in the paper to letter cards mixing inks using the parallel pen.
Evening Presentation:
**TJ introduced us to the A2 nib, gave a short history of the nib and it’s origin, and had handouts for examples and ideas. She assessed each letter, drawing our attention to various parts of each letter, asked us to focus on the interior parts of the letters. We were to pretend we were lettering artists from the 9140’s, hired by a local grocery store. She wanted us to create a small showcard advertising produce of some kind.
