Thornton/Bernd Workshop

Peter Thornton's workshop was wonderful! I learned a tremendous amount, and am using that new knowledge already. Thank you all for welcoming those of us from the north into your guild! I, and I'm certain Sylvia as well, am looking forward to joining you again soon!

Oh, we had so much fun this weekend at the workshop with Peter Thornton. I wish you all could have been there. I'm sure there will be some pictures posted soon!

Thanks for your help getting on Cecelia, this is great. You had mentioned that there are on line classes. Where did you go to find them. I would love to learn a hand where I feel I can move above the crafter level. I also know it is the time factor and I would need to be commited to practice. Something I need to work on. Any advice is appreciated.

Wedding Gift

Here's what I did for Jared and Madeline. Mom taught me to quill when I was a kid. Sorry for the glare.

great quote

I am reading a really wonderful book by author Lisa Samson. She wrote something that seems to fit in with our journey theme.

"Lord, how I need some change. I guess I've just become stuck in a rut and for some reason, ruts don't lead you down wild pathways where you trust God in ways you don't on the beaten path."

I have a tip that might make it easier to practice. I have a palette of paint leftover from my Jonah project and I use it almost every time I sit down to practice. Just add water and go. Here's a picture of it. My practice page is looking so-so. I hope to get a little freer and get some lettering that looks like it has life in it!

Cecelia & Deb... Thank you SO much for getting this site up and running! It'll be such an asset to our group and an encouragement to keep us connected.
Wow! I made it on... with a little help from my son. I always need help... This is great, thanks so much for setting this up, Cecelia. It will be fun and a great way to communicate for all of us.

Joyce, I'm going to mail you the notes from our meeting that describe all we plan to do this year. Mary, would you like that, too? You all will also want to know about a workshop we have coming up the last weekend in March. I'll put a link to the teacher - Barbara Close. It's going to be 2 days and only $75. Watch for an email with details. (for those of you who are new, click on any colored word for a link)
Hi All,

I'm signed in, up, around, and beyond. I'm not able to make the meetings for a while since I have a yoga class on that same Tuesday. So I love that this blog is started so I can keep up with this most fabulous collection of calligraphers!

Thanks Cecilia! You are an inspiration to me!

Scribe's Scribbles

What a great start to our blog site! Thank you, Cecelia! I'm taking time this week to peruse all of the copies of newsletters from other guilds and plan on pulling together a template for our new style of e-news.
