Evening Presentation:

**Cheryl had a number of exemplars of her letters and some inspired by Yves Leterme.  She asked us to bring copy paper to work on and a pointed cartridge brush.  She demonstrated how to letter holding the brush in the normal, natural way to achieve a more controlled letter.  She then shifted to an upright/perpendicular hold on the brush, freeing the arm to create a more free-spirited letter.  We practiced on our own for a while and then she had us make Cootie Catchers or Fortune Tellers using Cecelia’s colorful 12x12 papers.  She walked us through the folding and gave us possible words to write in the correct spots.  The directions can be found at www.teachbesideme.com. It was a fun little take home!
