Show & Share:
**Kristi Lyons had a few pieces she’s been working on. One especially nice was a framed piece in French Roundhand.
**Nancy Anderson had 4 framed pieces- one done on fabric, an Uncial piece, one titled ‘Lament’, and another ‘Joy’.
**Cheryl had a paste paper piece she lettered in gold gouache.
**Tom Heany lettered his Proverb of the month along with a couple of ‘God is Perfect’ pieces, and a fun and funky print of the front end of a car.
**Kathy Sullivan had a fun Halloween lino print as well as a beautiful paper cut piece.
**Cecelia showed us a sample of a jelli print she plans to introduce us to during the retreat.
Evening Presentation:
**TJ had an exemplar of an open-letter Foundational hand she designed for the class. The pen nib width was 5/3/5, accommodating elongated ascenders and descenders. She wanted to make sure each member had a cleaned nib and lined paper on hand. She then proceeded to make each letter with additional comments encouraging everyone to add to or adjust the letters as they saw fit, adding open spaces in different parts of each letter. She went through the exemplar letter by letter starting with the minuscules and going on to the capitals.
