**Carole’s mother, Betty, turns 90 on Nov 10. She has end stage COPD and is confined to her room. Carole would like any and all of us to shower her with cards. She passed out info and a mailing address.
**Carole is also Publicity Chair and would like to get together for an informational meeting. Sign up was passed around.

**Leslie asked for birthday card sign-ups for the remainder of the year and months into 2018. There will be a card-making party at Cheryl’s sometime in Feb. Time and date to be announced.
Show & Share:
**TJ showed Jorge’s Prayer Warrior board of the US with nice brush lettering done in acrylic paint. **Cecelia shared one of the pieces she did in Jemma Black’s class.
Evening Presentation:
**Kimmi encouraged us to use Wacky Letters for a poem or saying we brought. She had exemplars from Ewan Clayton’s class he taught during conference here using Ben Shahn’s lettering style and Emily Brown Shield’s lettering. We were asked to write something in block form using white gouache, Doc Martin’s, or a gel pen. It was a lot of fun and easy to do! Thanks, Kimmi!
